I'm Nora, an illustrator based in Cologne, Germany, and I'm passionate about using my art to shine a light on important issues such as feminism, parenting, motherhood, children's rights, equality, mental load, unpaid care work, and nature.

As an illustrator, I believe in the power of visual storytelling to provoke thought, inspire action, and foster understanding. My journey as an artist took on a new dimension when I became a mother. It was through the lens of motherhood that I found my true calling—to use my creativity to advocate for a better, more equitable world for all.

My illustrations serve as a platform for amplifying voices and shedding light on issues that matter. From celebrating the strength and resilience of women to highlighting the importance of equal rights for all types of families, each piece is imbued with passion, purpose, and a commitment to making a difference.

Embracing Motherhood

Becoming a mother was a turning point in my life. It opened my eyes to the realities of parenthood, the challenges of balancing work and family, and the importance of nurturing a more inclusive and compassionate society for future generations. Through my art, I strive to capture the beauty, complexity, and joy of motherhood while also addressing the systemic barriers that many of us face. My illustrations often explore themes such as mental load, unpaid care work, and the need for greater recognition and support for all kinds of caregivers. By depicting these issues in a visually compelling way, I hope to spark conversations, challenge stereotypes, and inspire empathy and action.
