Unravel your year cover illustrations

Cover Illustrations for the Unravel your Year Workbook by Susannah Conway

Susannah Conway is a writer & teacher that helps people access their creative joy and nurture a deeper, kinder relationship with themselves.

I’ve been using the Unravel Your Year workbooks for several years now to close my year with intention, reflect more deeply, and gently prepare for what’s ahead. They are an incredibly thoughtful tool, and I love how they guide you—quietly but firmly—in exactly the right direction.

So when Susannah put out a call for illustrators in her newsletter, I took a small leap of faith and submitted my portfolio. I didn’t think much of it afterward; I knew there would be so many talented, creative people applying.

That’s why it took me completely by surprise when her email landed in my inbox, asking me to design the cover. I was absolutely thrilled. I created three different designs, each featuring flowers with symbolic meanings tied to creativity, finding peace, and letting go—and, of course, a cat. In the end, we decided to use all three designs because choosing just one felt impossible.

This collaboration was the most beautiful way to close my creative year in 2025, and it truly made my heart very happy.

If you’re looking for a mindful, nourishing way to reflect on the year behind you and gain clarity for what lies ahead, I wholeheartedly recommend the free Unravel Your Year workbook. You can find it here.
